I want to put a few slices on a salad, but I don't know how to go about it.. I've never eaten tofu before, much less cooked it.

Do you even have to cook it if it's going on a salad? Can I soak it in something to give it flavor?

Hahaha I think you should just do it sauté, I don't really know about how to cook, but when I go to a Japanese restaurant it is really difficult to eat tofu with chopsticks hahaha. I once ate fried tofu and it was the only time I ate firm tofu...

Best wishes.

It's totally safe to eat raw on a salad. I suggest atleast putting some salt and pepper on it though, or soaking it in a little soy sauce.

Best way I've found to cook tofu:

Drain the water out and pat it dry

Freeze tofu (if you have time)

Thaw tofu (you can easily skip freezing/thawing it)

Marinate the tofu (soy sauce, teriyaki, anything you like!)

Heat oil in a skillet

Cut tofu into chunks or other desired shape

Fry the tofu until golden brown
