We all have at least one thing we love that is not so good for us. Mine: Salt! Love it! On everything. My excuse is that I have always had low blood pressure. To this, my mother sarcastically replies: "Yeah, no sense in preventing problems."

So go ahead and confess to your unhealthiest eating habit...

Oh man... I love salt too. Not a good thing considering my family's history of high blood pressure. I try to hold myself back, though. Emphasis on try.

Sugar. Interesting how I opened this thread while chowing down on a piece of key lime 'cheesecake', definitely not the first (or 2nd or 3rd) piece I've had today. I've linked these cravings to my monthy cycle. For two weeks I don't even want to see refined sugar, and the next two weeks I can't get enough of it. Ugh.

I know how you feel. The one time of the month I don't feel sorry for eating a whole chocolate bar by myself.

I believe that everything is ok in moderation, and generally I follow a healthy diet. But I have a MASSIVE sweet tooth. Not for the usual things like lollies, chocolate or cake (I actually find them disgusting)

My problem is with dried fruit. I can literally sit down and just go through a kilo of dried fruit.

I also have a problem with eating too many deliciously salty flavoured soy crips. (sweet chilli and lime is very dear to my heart) My reasoning: "but its soy...it must be good for me..."

Good thing I exercise so much otherwise i'd be a very chubby girl.

Wow, if I went through that much dried fruit I'd have to be quarantined!

(My Dad always hated it when my mom and I would get a big bag of dried fruit.. he always threatened to buy a gas mask)

for me, either too much salt or natural sugars. I don't eat a diet full of ridiculous ingredients or vegan junk foods. I eat natural whole foods or foods with natural ingredients. My biggest source of natural sugars is either fruit juices or massive amounts of honey (only non-vegan item in my diet). Health-wise, there's nothing really wrong with those sugars, but that's still a lot of sugar, bottom line.

Diet Coke. I've tried to give it up so many times, but no luck.

My other unhealthy addication is salt. My blood pressure is currently dangerously low (reult of ana), so I don't try to beat myself up over it.

Mmmmm, vegan ice cream. Yeah, that's definitely one of my favorites...I'm loving the fact that there are SO many types and flavors available!!! My current favorite is Very Cherry Chip Soy Dream, I get it from Trader Joe's...

Fried foods... especially fried tofu. Chances are it's fried in vegetable shortening.

Mountain Dew from a fountain. But not just any Mountain Dew... it has to be that freakish blue Baja Blast Mountain Dew that I can only find at Taco Bell... People tell me it tastes like soap or lotion or cleaning products, but I LOVE the stuff....

I rarely ever get the stuff though, so maybe it's not a "habit"...

In that case, I think I'm with Froggy on the fried tofu... I manage to eat entirely too much of that!!

Most things considered junk food. Salt. Sugar, sugar and more sugar.

I really miss candy bars like snickers, twix, kit kats, anything caramel covered in chocolate...I could go on and on, but what's the point....

I also love, love, love potato chips...and dip...at least I can make that vegan. But since giving up dairy/eggs etc., you would think I'd be thinner not eating all of this stuff....but I'm not! I actually think the problem is I eat more trying to satisfy the craving for the candy bars, when if I were able to just eat the candy bar, I would be satisfied and that would be the end of it. Vegan substitutes don't work for me. And I'm a little tired of dark chocolate.

Donuts....I miss donuts....

Ok, I think I'm feeling just a bit deprived and sorry for myself right now...I'm going to shut up....

SUGAR ~ chocolate, icecream, soft drinks, candy, cereal. Just about every morning I have a big bowl of sugary cereal, usually one of those really unhealthy brands like fruit loops, or cocoa krispies, or cinnamon toast crunch, or frosted flakes, I could go on and on-- topped with vanilla silk or 8th Continent....mmmmmm......and I can't help it with the chocolate; i'll actually get cravings for it!

Ehm... when you say "eating" does that include drinking habits as well?

I have a tendency to drink too much alcohol. Other than that I eat to much sugar... And sugar substitutes.

That counts. I actually find myself drinking quite a bit sometimes, too.

Salt,

Potato chips, mashed potatos, fried potatoes etc- there is a potato theme here...

Cheese - when I was a lacto vegetarian - I couldn't get enough of it and when I went strict vegetarian it was the hardest thing to give up- mock cheese breaks my heart though the Tofutti brand, well and the cheese made from rice seem heads above the rest...

Milk - as a strict veggie now I've gone through every brand of soy milk...sadness ensued...I've settled on rice milk and recently have tried concocting almond milk...we'll see how that goes...

Addictions are the heart of us...
