My husbands family used to be vegetarian, but have given it up through the years. I am just going vegetarian again and also cutting out eggs and dairy products. His mom always cooks the exact same thing for Thanksgiving so I pretty much know what to expect.
I thought I would offer to make one of the dishes and veganize it.
It is made up of vegeburger, sliced cheese, milk, eggs, vegetable oil, saltine crackers and spices.
I am going to experiment with it and try using Mrs. Nisely's Spelt Crackers in place of the saltines and olive oil in place of the vegetable oil.
Any suggestions for substituting the milk, cheese and eggs?
