Ooh! You can make fake tuna salad out of them. First, soak them and cook them according to the directions. Then lightly mash them, toss with tofu mayo, diced celery, pinch of salt, whatever ingredients you use to make tuna salad.

hummus - garbonzos, tahini, green onion, paprika, lemon juice, oil, salt, garlic...i think that's all you need. The tahini is the hardest to find, but without it, the hummus is really gross. I'll get a link for the actual ammounts when i find one.

Make the hummus! I made some last night and I have never made it myself before. I made it as garlicky and spicy as I wanted... yum!

Hummus is, of course, the correct answer to your question.

But we would have also accepted chana masala.

I use sesame oil in place of tahini and it tastes really good. I couldn't find tahini.

Stupid question.... What is tahini? What does it taste like (besides tahini!)?

Tahini is a sesame paste/butter.

On its own: It tastes like buttery sorrow.

In hummus: Like manna from heaven.

I honestly have no idea what anyone would want to do with tahini outside of hummus.

I'm not a tahini fan. I have used sesame oil (just a tad) and I also add Tofutti Better than Sour cream. Gives it an awesome texture and taste!

Make salad dressing out of it!

Tahini tastes like extremely bitter sesame seeds mixed with death.

ICK.

To each their own? ;D

Can you send some Joyva with it? I don't think we have it in Canada. This seems to happen a lot with anything good.

(No. It is only Monday.)

Can you get Alwadi brand? It's in all the Arabic markets around where I live, and it's really good.
