oh, i had to make this my first post!
hoorah for figs!
i get mine from the co-op at melbourne uni (close to my house), and we eat them by the bucket.
i looove the bobbley bits inside them.
fave fig recipe: i have this recipe for fruitcake which involves popping a bunch of dried fruit in a saucepan with some butter, brown sugar and water. then you heat them til all is warm and nice.
i discovered this wonderful mess (with or without the butter depending on your preferences) is WONDERFUL on icecream. or with biscuity things. or yoghurt....
and also nice with a dash of brandy when you're heating.
i also like to put whole dry figs in my fruitcake (yes, they blow up, but it's amazing).
