Any type of creamy pasta casserole is my absolute favorite.

Grilled cheese w/ tomato, matzoh ball soup, root vegetable stew come in at a close 2nd.

my favorite comfort food is the all-american classic er...uh all-American veg*n classic: a good veggieburger w/ swiss on a bun with fries and ketchup. Man, I haven't had fries in a long time.

But it depends on the mood I'm in, really.

vegan pizza is the best. Also, a hearty soup or chili.

Yummm mash potatoes are usually my comfort food. Especially during the colder months I'll fix a big bowl of instant mash potatoes and load it down with pepper (yum) and pig out.

veganized lattes from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Double Rainbow's Mint Chocolate Chip Soy Cream

fried "Save the Chicken" nuggets with vegan ranch at Native Foods

So, junky stuff. That's the stuff I like to treat myself with. I consume too much of the first two, and not enough of the last one.

That's a tough one. I would have to go good, homemade muffins--banana, pumpkin, whatever--and some cheeseless pizza. Ginger ale.

Oh yeah, ginger ale. I've drunk that when I'm sick all my life. Sick or at my grandmother's house, are the only times I drink ginger ale, and she's dead now, so I guess that leaves sick.

Soft pretzels! Blueberry scones. (I work at Barnes & Noble. Employee discount ---> way too good an excuse to consume baked goods from their cafe).

Hot coffee with vanilla or hazelnut-flavored nondairy creamer is a "comfort beverage" for me. Does anyone else like hot drinks year-round? I enjoy hot coffee and tea even in the summer, but in colder weather they become necessary for survival

My Mom's homemade Mac & Cheese. Amazing.

I also always fall back on Pillsbury biscuits with 100% real Maple Syrup in them (you know... poke a hole with your finger while it is still hot and put the syrup in the hole . Sooooo good.)
