Can anyone tell me how to make a fruit smoothie and give me some good recipes? It's something I've never tried even though I'm a fruit addict!

I'd like recipes with any kind of milk or yoghurt (I'm not a big dairy milk fan) or whatever

This is one of my favorites:

1 cup plain or vanilla soymilk

2 oz. silken tofu

1 cup juice (I like V8 Splash, but any not-too-tart fruit juice could do)

1 to 2 cups frozen blueberries (any frozen berry would work, but I love blueberries)

Blend all ingredients except the frozen berries, then add the frozen berries a little at a time until you get the consistency that you like. I like mine very thick, so I add a lot of berries. This makes enough for 2 people to each have a big tall glass in the morning - it's very fillling! I've also made it without the juice; I just added more soymilk.

firebird - your avatar cracks me up! ralph wiggum rules!

Back on topic - I LOVE Smoothies!! Here's one of my fav recipes:

1 cup soy or almond milk, vanilla or plain

1 large frozen banana

1 cup of frozen blueberries

A little Vanilla to taste (I don't measure 'nilla)

tsp sweetner (optional, doesn't really need it)

Doesn't really need ice cubes either, if the fruit is frozen.

Blend together and enjoy!
