I bought a health food store brand of chicken-style and beef-style vegetarian bouillon cubes because it had no hydrogenated oils or MSG. I expect that what is available to you will vary widely, so my best advice is to read the ingredients -- bouillon cube ingredient lists can be pretty scary.

I really like Knorr boullion cubes. I've never used the Maggi boullion so I don't know how it compares but Knorr is quite tasty. You should be able to find it in any major grocery store in addition to your local HFS.

Knorr is the best, IMO, and I can find it just about everywhere.

I'm not certain, but I think Knorr's vegetable bouillon contains gelatin.

I buy Seitenbacher Instant Vegetable Broth Mix at Whole Foods.

Not according to my box (unless they've changed the ingredients since then). There's no gelatin at all in it.

I have a small can of Knorr Instant Vegetable Stock Mix in my pantry. No gelatin, but it does have MSG in it. I'm not crazy about MSG, but I use this product so seldom and in such small quantities, I am not going to worry about it too much.

I forget the brand, but I use the kind in the little yellow box. It's probably terrible for me, but I don't use it very much. Mostly I use Trader Joe's brand veggie stock, the kind that comes in the resealable box.
