Any ideas as to what's in my soup?

Hey Guys,

Grabbed a Minestrone soup from a well established Irish soup / sandwich company.
Asked if the Minestrone soup was 100% veggie as I know lots of places add meat to the broth.
Found a few of these meaty lookin' fellas in my 'veggie' soup. Any idea what they could be, assuming they aren't meat?

Can't tell anything from the picture. Was this from a restaurant? Why not ask them?
Could be seitan, could be a dried tomato, mushroom

I don't know that I've ever heard of minestrone having meat anyway. I have a pack of sundried tomatoes that look like that

Those are definitely mushrooms! But I agree with the rest, you should just ask them!
