I'd like to make this recipe here but it calls for savory:

I don't have any savory and I couldn't find any at the store. I've never even had savory so I don't even know what a good subsitute would be for it. Does anyone know of a good sub for it? If I just omitted it would it still turn out fine?

Savory is very similar to Thyme. Since such a small amount is being used here, you could probably sub it no sweat.

A little more info (from switcheroo.com)

savory Notes: This herb has a strong, peppery flavor, and it's often used in Mediterranean countries to flavor beans, mushrooms, vegetables, and meats. There are two varieties: winter savory and the milder summer savory. Winter savory is best suited to slowly cooked dishes like stews. Substitutes: thyme (stronger flavor) OR thyme + dash of sage or mint

I made that recipe today and it was really good but it's majorly filling. I couldn't even eat half a bowl of it. If you're extremely hungry this is the meal for you.
