...with bubble teas. Oh my goodness, they are so good! I've had a cold the last three days and somehow I got a craving for one. (I've only had one once and that was 4 years ago) I finally got one last night and then I enjoyed it so much I got one this afternoon, too. I got the green tea/no milk kind. Ahhh, heaven!

My mom had never had one, so I let her try mine. Let's just say the tapioca pearls are a little too strange for her to handle right now! I guess it's just a love it or hate it kind of thing.

Does anybody else like bubble tea? If so, what kind do you get? The place I went to recently seemed to only have green tea, but I've been somewhere else that has a lot of flavors like pina colada and stuff like that.

Yay for bubble tea!

I totally love these! I actually started making them myself, i found a bubble tea party kit in chinatown, and frozen black tapioca pearls, and the big straws! Theyre just too much fun. I think the kit was an american brand DIY, and can probably be ordered online. I did a search, and all kinds of places came up where you can order supplies.

never tried them. drinks that require chewing are not on top of my list of things to try lol

they were really big in the city i lived in before i moved here. i almost had myself convinced to try one once but there was a huge long lineup so i skipped it and got a fruit smoothie somewhere else instead

If I had it my way I'd drink these everyday! But it can get expensive. I love getting Thai Iced tea, yumm. One place by me sells bubble milk tea for only $1. I wish I could find a place that uses soy milk though

I'm an exchange student in Taiwan, so I can get my "bubble tea" for about 20 cents (US) and it comes in a huge cup. My "Grandma" has her own little drink store, so I used to go and get like passion fruit bubble tea, mango smoothie with pearls.. all sorts of flavors, just as long as there was no added milk. However, I've been in Taiwan for like 10 months, so I kind OD'd on bubble tea a while ago, and now mostly stick to plain green tea and oolong tea. Oh well.. it was fun while it lasted.

I LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE bubble tea! My sister discovered it down at college when she had a group project and they all met at this asian cafe- now I look forward to driving the three hours to go and see her just so I can have my beautiful tapioca pearls. The only thing: I always get the green apple, last time I tried the mango- It was absolutely the most horrid thing I have ever put in my mouth. yuck. I ripped the top open so I could get at the bubbles and threw the rest away .

The mall where I work just got a new restaurant called the Boba Bar. I was so excited when they moved in, but they don't have tapioca, they have these weird colored tapiocas instead. :\\

I had a chocolate milk tea with tapioca balls. (they said it was non-dairy creamer).

Didn't really like it...they tapioca balls freaked me out a it - they'd be great if they actually had flavour though. Plus I'm really caffeine sensative so I was bouncing around the house all night (I had it at lunchtime).

Heres the Aussie site..

After looking at it again I actually wanna try a few more now!

I wrote to them ages ago, and they said none of their products contain animal products, dairy or eggs (so I'm quite curious about ther egg pudding now!).

I also tried their chocolate pudding which was very very bizarre...chunks of this barely flavoured chocolate jelly-like substance in a watery drink which you suck up throw the bubble tea's fat straw. Not the chocolate mousse type thing I was expecting!

Dear God I hate this stuff! Sorry.

A so called friend of mine forced me to have one of these atrocities last summer. I got the starfruit variety. Too sweet, and chunky, glutinous tapioca balls of choke-inducing death.

Oh man, there are one of these places on every corner where I live (darn near literally). I run passed them. But godspeed to the lovers.

Any suggestions for which flavour to try first (from boba tea FANS only)?

When I first tried it, it was in strawberry green tea..

The place around here also offers almond milk, or coconut milk smoothies which contain cow milk, but soymilk should be able to be subbed in for it if she shop has it.

The boba always seems to kind of take on the flavor of the drink somewhat, and it's very good and chewy. It's somewhat of a shock if you haven't had it before, but it's kinda fun!

I've only had the regular green tea (w/out milk) but it was sweetened. Actually, wait, I had a pina colada one once, and I think I liked it...I can't remember
