After much unsuccessful experimentation, I think I have something workable:
andy's cheesy sauce.
1/3 lb silken tofu
handful cashews (roasted salted)
1 T miso (light. I used aka miso because its what I had on hand)
3 T nutritional yeast
pepper to taste
1 T lemon juice
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t dry yellow mustard
water and oil to thin (I used a T of each)
blend, then heat.
