Fermented Unripe Squash Pickles?
So a sand storm turned into a lightning storm yielding an Electric Mud Storm (sounds like a 70's funk band, ya?) and unripe squash were exposed where I knew my dog would pee on them, he's like that, likes to pee on anything distinctive, he once chased down a rolling tumbleweed in a wind storm and managed to pee on it as it went down the street- he was so proud.
Anyway, in trying to improve the situation I broke off unripe squashes. Still light green and rock hard.
Has anyone tried lacto-fermenting such a thing? Did it work or did it turn into a bucket of bubbling slop?
