Hi there. I am looking for vegan snacks to carry me over from 5 pm til 8 pm. I have a fantastic hubby who has dinner ready the minute I walk in the door most nights. Most of my classes are at 7 pm. Don't have time to cook and eat before class. I do Zumba 4x a week and Spin 3x. On the weekends I like to get outside and walk/run or ride bikes. I've read and heard that one shouldn't go to long betwen meals and I do get shakey if I go past four hours. My normal lunch hour is 1 pm. Any suggestions?

Assuming your dinner is after class, some fruit would be a good per workout snack. Dates and apricots will provide the most calories while leaving room for heavy breathing. Bananas are good as well. Fruit is always my preworkout snack. If it's going to be more than a couple hours from a meal, I'd choose oatmeal.

Thanks. I used to do a cheese stick & some grapes for protein but I'm trying to stay away from cheese now (allergies and cholesterol)
