I wish I could remember the name! lol! It was in the cheese section of our local coles... the only one amongst 5 billion different other cheeses! The guy said the name and I didn't catch it and the only name on the label is soy cheese! I'll have to ask him again when I go back, He did say it was mild though, and it's not, but it tastes just fine to me!

Are you saying that because the non vegan ones actually taste like cheese and not cardboard?

I don't know, my boyfriend likes vegan rice cheese, and I used to make nut-based cheeses that I liked.

I'm more saying that because "soy cheese" doesn't mean "vegan cheese" at all.

*shrugs*

hmmm, maybe I have to go double check this cheese! It's starting to sound too good to be true! lol... he did say there's no dairy in it... maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about?? and I don't know what I'm eating??!!!! Doh! I'll get back to you :S

Hun', look for the word "casein" which is a milk ingredient. It's in SOME (but not all) soy cheeses. Most people, like store employees, call soy cheese (with casien) "milk free" because they don't know any better. But now you do. Good luck, there ARE vegan soy cheeses out there. Some of them fairly good. And some are quite horrid. Hope you found one thqt suits you.

Thanks for that! There's no specific label on the wrapping, so I'll have to check it out in store where they cut it. Thanks again
