I just bought a small tub of westebrae naturals miso paste. I'm a miso soup addict and made a pot of soup with slivered carrots, diced tofu and nori. I used 1 tblsp of mio and added another tsp full since I like the really strong kind. I think I bought the red miso.

What are some other ways that you guys like miso paste?

My miso soup must have silken tofu and lots of negi (green onion) and sea vegetable. I also like to add some ginger for a little extra kick.

I'd like to experiment more with non-soup uses for miso; I've used the mild white miso in a baked herb "cheese" recipe to add a rich flavor to crumbled tofu.

I've used it in bread recipes before. But alas, I don't have the recipe with me... I'm sure an internet search would yield some!

instead of tea take a spoonful of miso and stir it into hot water. Or use it in stirfrys, or tofu scrambles

I just got miso soup and it was okay...way too much salt. I was like choking it down. Anyone want three packets of instant soup? anyone?

I dissolve miso in hot water, add garlic powder, a little bit of ginger powder, and soy sauce to taste. Sometimes I add noodles too.

just dilute it with more water. A year ago, when I first tried miso, I felt the same way.

But my tastes have changed to be able to take stronger flavors within that year. hehe.

Does miso have any nutritional advanages or is it just considered a seasoning?
