Green leafy vegetables (spinach, broccoli, mustard greens, turnip greens, even some weeds such as lamb's-quarters)

Whole wheat bread

Quick rolled oats (I eat them soaked but uncooked, with fruit)

Apples/pears

Peaches/plums/nectarines

Beans- garbanzo, great northern, etc (cooked of course)

unsalted peanuts

" sunflower kernels

Citrus fruits

Rice- sometimes white, sometimes brown

Tomato, either fresh or canned

Soyfoods

The above list isn't in order of what I eat the most- my diet is actually quite grain-heavy- probably the polar opposite of Atkins.

My food choices vary because sometimes I get bored to certain foods. Right now I often eat:

-Tomatoes

-Bread, especially dark rye bread. I think I'm lucky because where I live most commercial breads don't have whey in them .

-Different kind of nuts. There's a new shop near my workplace where the nuts, beans etc. are a little less expensive than they're in the grocery store.

-Porridge

-Hemp seeds

-Apples and other fruits too when they're not too expensive.

-Salad

-Black licorice (trying to limit...)

-Couscous

-Coffee

-Apple cider vinegar in the water I drink.

-Soymilk when I'm not too cheap to buy it.

-Red lentils

I used to eat more often textured soy protein and seitan. I'm a little sick of them now, but I'm sure I'll start to like them again soon.

That sounded like an ok list to me. When I first moved out of home at 16 my list would have been something like "hot chips, chocolate, more hot chips, mashed potatoes, beer, potato scallops, bread, vegemite, rice, and some more hot chips" Sue me, I was poor, I could afford potatoes and all else was a luxury!

Love the post? Why not buy the T-shirt!
