I recently discovered the boards on a google search (I was looking into vegetarian body building/fitness models and such). Anywho, I looked around for a bit, and decided to join!
Sooo..I guess I should introduce myself. My name's Laura, and my journey to becoming a vegetarian started about five years ago. I cut out meat when I was about fourteen, and about six months later went completely vegan (my poor mom had noo idea how to feed me). I wasn't educated on being vegan, so as you can imagine I got really weak, and skinny, it wasn't pretty. I started incorporating meat back into my diet after about three years of being vegan. It was challenging at first, because I dont like the taste of meat at all, but I did what I thought I had to do. For about a year I studied, and learned as much as I could about becoming vegetarian, and what I needed to include in my diet, etc. Six months ago, I took meat out of my diet completely (not cold turkey, it was gradual for about a month), and now I'm completely meat free, however, I still eat dairy, (skim milk, cheese, yogurt, etc). I haven't gone vegan yet, however, it is a goal that I am working towards! I feel SOOO good, and my energy is fantastic!
Other than being a vegetarian, I am also a Professional Wrestler! I wrestle all over Ontario, and am now branching into Quebec, and the States!
What else ...hmmm..OH! I have a wonderful little ****-a-poo named Hulk Hogan, and I work for a gym
