I'm probably a relatively typical specimen, as far as new veggies go.
I started being turned off of meat when I was about 11 and realized what veal was. Over the years, I've cut most meat out of my daily diet, but never truly took the plunge. Finally, this year I decided that it was time to cut it all out. Eating animals is just not something I want to even think about, let alone do.
My husband is a lovely (almost) completely supportive person, even though my eating veg means that he's eating veg also. (he can't cook to save his life, so that's not an option) While he's not thrilled, he's quite supportive, especially since he found out about the health and financial benefits of eating veg.
I found this place while looking for recipes, and am very happy to have like-minded people to discuss veg*n issues with.
