Hello hello. I am Marie. I just bought the book Vegan Cupcakes and im making some for my Grandparents reception (well I guess you could call it that, they are renewing their vows). Though no one will know they are cruelty free and I will probably not eat anything but the cupcakes there . My family is not supportive and I tell them all my reasons over and over but they are the hamburger gravy kind of people (i never liked it). Anyways I can't wait to get to know you guys

Hi, Marie!

It's too bad your folks have an antipathy towards vegetarianism. My folks were always OK with it but never embraced it themselves, and I don't know too many vegs in real life- so I come here a lot.

Peasant (1963-1972) and Fluffy (1970s?-1982- I think of you as 'Ambrose' now)- Your spirits outshone some humans I have known. Be happy forever.

is that isa's one? i have vegan with a vengence & have taken to carrying it about the house with me like a security blanket for two reasons;

1 - so my idiot flatmate won't find it & start making snidy comments about it &

2 - so my idiot flatmate won't bugger off with it

either is possible. great book tho.

Hi and welcome.

I have Vegan with a Vengence too. Love it! I've been curious about her cupcake book (to be honest, the only reason I haven't bought it is that I fear gaining 20 pounds ). My fam is the meat and potatoes kind too - I usually end up bringing my own food to family gatherings.
