I was reading the food&fitness forum at another website (www.kittyradio.com) when someone asking about vegan diets was directed here by another member. I clicked on it, read a couple of threads and decided I much preferred it.

Michael, I honestly don't remember specifically... but I think I ran a Google or Dogpile search for "vegetarian forum". I was on a specific quest for one.

I've still somewhat of a newbie (less than 3 months), so I can answer this for ya. I found VB by doing a Google search for "vegetarian message boards". I love it here!

I found this on LiveJournal. I've stayed here, and not gone back there!

Not a newbie anymore, but I entered "vegetarian message boards" on Google and VB was the first match. I had been reading the MB for Super Size Me at IMDb and everybody dumped on Spurlock's vegan GF just for for the sin of being vegan. (Holier-than-thou, you know. ) Also, another user who identified himself as a vegetarian and against hunting on another IMDb MB got dumped on for that. I decided I wanted to see if there was a MB where I could "come out" as a veggie and not get dumped on.

I was searching for something completely unrelated to veg*ism and I found a post on VB asking members what browser they use and I was like veggieboards? Crap, that's awesome!

I did a search for vegan chat and somehow this came up. (in Google)

I just signed up today, and went to the chat room, but no one was there to talk with.

:-(

I hope in the future, more people will be using it!

Keep checking back. There are times when there are people there to chat with.

Welcome to VB, by the way! (Just looked at your profile, nice to see another person in my age group around here.)

I was looking for recommedations about vegitarian sausages, and I stumbled across this place somehow. It looks interesting, so I joined up.

So, yeah, this is my first post. I'm sure you'll get to know me well. Although I am yet to find any of the sausage information I was looking for. Oh well.

I found it whilst searching google. I've been looking for somewhere to chat to fellow vege's for years, this place looks like it will do!

Burning Teddy, if you're looking for vegetarian sausages, I think you might find some sausage recepies in the recepies section of the forum. If not, do a search for sausages and see what you come up with.
