Allo allo!!!!!! Ummmm, well I'm new here and I'm 14 years old. I live in London, Ontario(as you proly already know) and I'm in the 8th grade. I just became a vegetarian in November of 2004 and it's been hard because my parents don't exactly approve of it and my brother tends to tease me about it. I like being a vegetarian and I think it's the best move I've made... EVER! My best friends are really supportive though and my one best friend Holly, became a vegetarian with me so I wouldn't be alone. They're great! . Well that's about it so I just wanted to say HI!
hey welcome to the forums i can relate. my brother is violent toward me in several ways and my veg*ism is another thing he uses to try to attack me with. But, maybe you can find a way to help influence your family with your vegetarianism and then you won't have to deal with so much meat/dairy/eggs, and less animals will suffer some people are too closeminded to consider it but just a thought. personally since my going veg the whole family's cut down on meat quite a bit and no more cow's milk either. so needless to say i'm happy about that. it's helped when trying to make my mom see from their (the animals') point of view and bring up health concerns etc. Again welcome, hope you enjoy your stay here at veggieboards.
Hi and thank you guys all for welcomeing me here. That's a good idea but I dunno because my family eats meat like 24/7 and when I ask my mom what we're having for dinner she says chicken/hamburger ect. and so I refrase it by saying What am I having for dinner? Then she tells me she doesn't know. So basically when it comes to meals I fend for myself. My parents won't cut down on meat but on the contrary, ever since I became a veggie(vegetarian) my parents have seemed to eat more meat than before! So I don't know what to do. Well I have to go now bye!
