Hi from Uk

Hi there

Great to find these boards. I'm not yet a full vegetarian as I eat fish, not meat, but I'm keen to make the transition for ethical reasons. Before I started eating meat again I was a pescetarian for a few years but never been fully veggie due to worries about what I'll eat (I have health issues and a lot of intolerances). I do want to go fully veggie and i think finding tasty recipes and some good moral support would help. I'm looking forward to posting on here and getting to know people

Thank you for the welcomes and the information. It is good to read why I shouldn't eat fish as it's often portrayed as a healthy food (pushing aside the ethical issues for a moment) and even my mum, who hasn't never eaten meat, insists I 'need' to eat fish. So any info is very welcome.

I meant to say I am allergic to dairy and have a lactose intolerance so I don't eat or drink milk products anyhow, and am reluctant to given how cows are treated in the process. I don't eat a lot of eggs, only really as ingredients. So if I can cut fish the rest should be relatively straightorward if I can ind enough recipes that work for me.

I look forward to finding out more.
