I hope this post finds you all well :) My name is Kate and I am a Masters student at Tufts University working on a degree in Animals and Public Policy. As part of my degree requirements, I am completing a final project on vegetarianism and am looking for participants 18 years or older to complete a voluntary survey. You can access the survey by following this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9C2VG2S

If you have any questions about the survey you can contact me via this thread or my email ([email protected]), just be sure to indicate that you're inquiring about the survey so I don't mistake emails for spam :)

Thanks for your participation, I look forward to learning more about the VB community!

fish get oxygen via the water
fish don't hear but feel sounds via their skin

My usual answer: I have never heard a convincing reason to eat meat.

Hello again! Thanks to everyone who has taken the survey so far, you've been a huge help. In case you haven't had a chance to participate yet, the survey will be open for the next few weeks, so please take a few minutes to complete it if possible! It should only take a little of your time :)

Why are so many questions to do with fish?

ETA: Why is it entitled Vegetarianism if most of it has to do with fish/shellfish sentience?

LedBoots: To answer your question, my study is focusing on people who choose to eat fish/seafood and call themselves vegetarians rather than pescetarians... I'm trying to understand conceptions about fish and other marine food. Hope that helps!

Thank you for answering. smiley.gif Not to discourage you, but this may not be the best site for your research. The terms of service here exclude pescatarians. On this site, you will find vegetarians, vegans, and people striving to become these. No fish-eaters. smiley.gif
