Just a quick introduction. I have been veggie since 1986 (hence the username) and have long considered being vegan.
So I have decided to try being vegan for Lent (Starts 9th March) to see how I get on. If I find it goes OK, I hope to either continue,or at least to gradually reduce (and eventually remove) all animal products from my life.
I have been researching in preparation for this, and am frankly shocked that so much animal stuff is still used in products.I am feeling a bit overwhelmed to be honest. After 24 plus years, being vegetarian is second nature to me -but veganism requires a totally different level of awareness.
I will no doubt be asking lots of vegan related questions on here until I find my feet a bit so thanks in advance for any advice.
