Hello all,

I am Windigo, a 23 year old woman from the Netherlands who's become vegetarian only two weeks ago after watching the movie called ''Earthlings''. In my opinion one has to be utterly heartless to keep eating meat after watching such cruelty so I had to oblige my own opinion and banned meat from my house I was already concious before this decision, I used to eat only organic meat but after I saw what it costs to keep animals in comparison to growing fruit and vegs the better choice has become obvious.

Also I am in spiritual training to become an energyhealer, and am a devout Pagan so I revere nature in many ways. Killing for food also conflicts with my spiritual convictions. I work in a centre for elderly care and am studying to become a nurse. After my grade I want to work with addicts and homeless people in shelters, in order to provide them with some much needed kindness.

I really love cooking and reading and I like to play games like World of Warcraft in my spare time.

Welcome! I visited your country once back in 2000, although it was only a side-trip to Amsterdam.

Interesting screen name, from Native American legends.

Hi Windigo, it's great to hear from you! I am happy you are following your desire to spread kindness. Like you, I had been conscious of it but didn't stop eating meat until a single point in my life. For me, I was concerned with harmony and love. I was brought up Christian and felt that it wasn't being a kind person to subject animals to that kind of cruelty, so the seeds of veganism had been planted and eventually harvested. I look forward to hearing more from you

Hello all,

I am back! I was wrongly diagnosed with gluten intelorance and that made me confused about my diet, but I turn out not to have that so I'm back on the wagon and not planning to leave any time soon

Hope you can all forgive me for straying
