Hi All!

Made it through Thanksgiving with no turkey on the plate and no one was the wiser (hey, with the potatoes, squash, onions, carrots, turnips, etc, you couldn't see anything anyway!!)

I have been vegetarian (again, I was for awhile about 15 years ago) for 6 months now and loving it. When I'm not eating veggie, I am training for my next half-marathon!

Looks like a great group here, some of the recipes look great!!! (Excellent selection of smilies in the forums too!)

Thanks for the great welcomes! My next race is in FEBRUARY, lol! In Hampton NH right along the ocean. So it will either be hospitable for temps, or downright terrible, lol! Either way, it's always fun! I love running in the rain anyways.

Someone asked "How do you train"? There are lots of half-marathon plans on the net, just google for them. If you're going to try it, just take your time, don't bump up mileage too quickly.

I try to drink more milk now that I am vegetarian for the calcium benefits. Other than that, the sight of meat now makes me kind of grossed out!!
