Avocado Chutney is my favorite raw meal. I think you were looking for favorite raw whole fruits or vegetables though.

I've never had a durian before. They don't sell them here.

You can only get them at Asian markets or stores. They don't sell them in the regular grocery store.

3- Macademia Nuts! (Too expensive and Fatty though!)

4- Sprouts are yummy on wraps but I haven't bought them since the bacteria/illness issues with them in the news, Don't grow my own either.

I saw a durian at the asian store the other day.. first off why is it frozen? secondly, how do you eat it? do you peel it or slice it? what do you eat it with? is it necessary to freeze at home?

It's frozen because they are transported from Thailand and they won't stay good long enough when they're fresh. You should keep it in the freezer at home until 8-24 hours before eating. When you're ready to eat it, you just break it open (or cut, but you can usually break it). Inside are little pillow like sacs of custard like fruit encasing a large seed. Each of the five or so sections has 3 or 4 of the sacs. It tastes kinda like vanilla custard with a sulfer like taste. I think it's an acquired taste; I wasn't too sure about it the first time, but now I love it. You can just eat it with your hands. You don't have to eat it with anything; one fruit has 800-some calories and 30-some grams of fat! But it's worth it. If you want it with something, I hear you can blend it with coconut milk, but I've never tried it. I have had it in a raw pie and it was scrumptious!
