Question Is packaged frozen fruit raw?

Frozen vegetables are usually blanched before freezing. Is frozen fruit?

According to sources I've found, and my own experiences freezing fruit at home and it being indistinguishable from the kind at the store, frozen fruit is raw.

Frozen fruit might be raw, but most kinds of thawed frozen fruit taste awful unless you then cook them to a greater or lesser degree.

Agreed. While they may be raw in terms of their nutritional value, the taste differs from that of fresh raw.

I'm not an expert, but freezing is the result of a chemical reaction. It's basically the opposite of boiling. Both processes alter the cellular structure of foods. How much nutritional value is lost by freezing, I can't say, but I'm inclined to think foods that are frozen are no longer raw. Even when thawed, they don't return to their unfrozen state.
