I'm a vegetarian and I like to try all types of recipes, I just discovered my new favorite vegan cookbooks:
Chloe's Kitchen: 125 Easy, Delicious Recipes for Making the Food You Love the Vegan Way Chloe's Vegan Desserts: More than 100 Exciting New Recipes for Cookies and Pies, Tarts and Cobblers, Cupcakes and Cakes, and More! Chloe's Vegan Italian Kitchen: 150 Pizzas, Pastas, Pestos, Risottos, & Lots of Creamy Italian Classics The author is Chef Chloe Coscarelli, she has photos in all her books and gives really good tips. She takes the foods we normally eat, and makes really simple substitutions to make them vegan but still taste good. It really made me rethink what you can do with vegan recipes, amazing! I recommend trying her recipe for Pasta Carbonara, and she bakes Shiitake mushrooms to replicate bacon. She even has a recipe for Crème-Filled Chocolate Cupcakes, which is a vegan version for Hostess cupcakes. |
I do like Chloe.
I love Robin Robinson--1000 Vegan recipes I own I've never really been a fan of Veganomicon. It's hard to read and I just think it over complicates recipes I like Appetite for Reduction much better I also like Happy Herbivore I really like the Tempeh Cookbook by Dorothy Bates. I ran across it at my library and bought a copy at Goodwill online. The recipes are really well written in steps and can be made with tofu, seitan or often beans in place of tempeh |
I have been enjoying Teff Love which is an Ethiopian vegan cookbook by Kittee Berns. I have been eating Ethiopian food for a while now and decided to learn how to cook it as a new year resolution. I have learned a great deal about spices that I did not previously use.
