Right now, two of my favorite comedians I see pretty regularly are Dave Chapelle and Mitch Hedberg. Both these guys crack me up.

Mitch's Site: http://www.mitchhedberg.net/

Dave's Site: http://www.davechapelle.com/

I'd go so far as to say I think these two guys are the funniest commedians around right now.

Any other good ones out there that you know of?

I really like Bernie Mac. And I love Robin Williams stand up stuff. Really really good stuff. On the older side, I like Bill Crosby, Richard Pryor, and Jerry Seinfield. Weird, I'm straining my brain trying to think of a funny female comedian and I'm coming up blank.

I think Arj Barker (http://www.arjbarker.com) is pretty damn funny. My favorite comics are probably Jim Gaffigan (http://www.jimgaffigan.com) and Lewis Black (http://www.lewisblack.net). Plus this guy has me in stitches sometimes

Chapelle and Stephen Lynch. There are several others I really like that I keep hearing on satellite radio, but I never catch their names. I have heard most of them on Comedy Central at one time or another, but again, no names.

Max - Yep. I am pretty good, ain't I?

Chris Cunningham is one of my fave's, my boyfriend's favourite is a french comedian named Michel Courtemanche, he does improv type stuff, mime most of the time, he very rarely speaks, funny stuff though.

my boyfriend's youngest brother is actually going to college right now taking comedy, it's the same school and program that most famous canadian comedians went through, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, John Candy, etc.

Mary Walsh and Kathy Jones, both Eastern Canadians (of course). They give the witty humour and quick comebacks that I enjoy. Beyond that, there are not many funny women.

I don't like Rosie, Roseanne, or Ellen humour. I like people who are actually funny.

Male-wise, Adam Sandler, when he isn't cursing, is good. Robin Williams not on cocaine is funny, Bernie Mac is great (although, he reminds me of Tame somedays and then it just feels...dirty...somehow).

Margaret Cho cracks me up.

I like Dave Attell, Dave Chappelle (hey, I'm rhyming!), and even though I find her irritating in almost any other form, Kathy Griffin's standup is freakin' hilarious. She did a bit about meeting Hanson at SNL that had me rolling on the floor.

My old faves are Sam Kinnison, Andrew Dice Clay -- only because I saw both of them live and they were absolutely hilarious, despite pissing me off in the process.

Milton Berle, Marx Bros., Bob Hope, Don Rickles, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart, Chris Elliot. Lots more, but I can't think of them. I love political satirists.

*Recommendation: I Might Need Security Jaime Fox, 2002- Hilarious, had me *literally* rolling on the floor laughing -- my sides hurt and eyes watered. On video, dvd

I love old Eddie Murphy stand-up. I saw a Jim Breuer (sp) standup special on Comedy Central before that had me cryin' I was laughing so hard. Dave Attel cracks me up too, I like his show Insomniac.

Oh, I loooove Eddie Izzard!!! I still have to see him live tho

I also like:

Chapelle

Arj Barker

Jim Bruer's stand-up is sooo funny

And there is some guy that I always see on Comedy Central, but I never remember his name...he's tall and balding w/blond hair and thick-rimmed glasses. He did the voice for some stupid cartoon on Mtv, and I'm pretty sure he was in a few episodes of News Radio and Just Shoot Me...and he was on Tough Crowd once ("like, Nickleback makes me want to kill Nickleback"). Does anyone know who I'm talking about??

Actually, "frantoni" = "friend Tony"...but I digress...I can do an entire Dice Man routine. Seriously. It's a hit at parties...or was before I turned 20...

Ricky gervais is cool. Though I haven't seen the office yet. I remember when he did the 11 O clock show, and he was good then.

Monty Python - I know it's a group, rather than a single comedian, but a thread on comedians can't simply pass w/o monty python getting a mention.

I'm also sad to say it, but Roy Chubby Brown. Living in Blackpool, we get a whole host of comedians visiting, like bernard manning, peter kay and chubby himself. And i do think he's funny. Especially his wanking song.

Very hard to beat Richard Pryor and Steve Martin during their first couple of years of fame.

In his prime, Richard Pryor was one of the funniest people ever.

I forgot to mention Chris Rock earlier. I think Chapelle has passed him up, but Bigger and Blacker is still one of the funniest shows I ever saw.
