I'm a classical guitarist... do some jazz with a band when they do gigs, and have been in a rock band too lol. Used to play flute, piano and timpani... still can do it when i can bothered lol. My brother plays piano, clarinet and saxaphone, my mum can play the melodian, and my dad's a professional New Orleans jazz drummer... musical family hehe.
Guitar, and keys (organ mostly.. Manzarek/Doors influenced)
I saw him and Kreiger play live in Boston with their new band ("Riders on the Storm"). Damn, they looked old but those boys still got it.
Getting back to topic, I sadly lack musical talent. I can play "Row row row your boat" on the piano...that's about it. ((That was very embarrassing to admit, but whatever)) I have the utmost respect for musicians (due to the fact that I'm such a big fan), and I love the sound of a good guitar (acoustic, electric, whatever--it just amazes me, I'll learn someday....)
"you know, nowhere in the bible does it say that jesus was not a raptor"
My husband, who is a drummer, told me a joke (which he eternally regrets as I keep on saying it - it makes me laugh so much!).
What do you call somebody who hangs out with musicians? ......

Oh, wow. I only got the joke when I read your post. I too thought it was a play on words...
When I was younger, I played the piano, violin, and the clarinet (not all at once). I quit all three (I would have kept playing the piano, but my teacher moved). Now I just picked up piano again and I'm teaching myself.
