Hi Arby! These 2 kick ass!

My faves:

City of Lost Children for how cool it looks.

Dazed and Confused for its cool factor and infinite re-watchability.

Goodfellas for being the best film of my favorite dramatic subgenre.

Hi Max! Yep, Requiem to a Dream I blew me away. Top notch acting and the way it was filmed. Excellent. I love movies that are filmed off of the norm. Sorta like indie films.

I like a lot of different genres, so this may seem like a wacky list....

Office Space

Magnolia

Boogie Nights

Secretary

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Oh Brother Where Art Thou

Gladiator

State and Main

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting, but those come to mind first.

Oops: edited to add Pulp Fiction.

That's an interesting choice, but I agree with you - it's a fantastic movie. It was the first DVD I ever bought on my DVD player, about four years ago, and I was just totally blown away. I thought John Carpenter had kinda lost the plot, but Vampires disproved it

I think I mainly watch it for the ever-so witty James Woods. I think he is soooooo awesome. I love all kinds of B grade movies:

Evil Dead

Army of Darkness (Sam Rami is a genius)

The Reanimator

House

etc......

That might be my favorite scary movie, it's so much more mood and in the mind than gore (not that I don't love gore). The wheelchair was the creepiest thing to me.

Absolutely, unequivically, The Shawshank Redemption.

The only reason it didn't win best picture was because it came out the same year as Forrest Gump... yarg. It deserved it!

In no particular order:

Braveheart

Titanic

The Shawshank Redemption

The Green Mile

The Ring (Original Japanese, not this American crap.)

The Italian Job

LOTR: FOTR

LOTR: TTT

Moulin Rouge

Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets

Life As A House

Office Space

Super Troopers

Chicago

And anything with Kevin Spacey in it. I *heart* Mr. Spacey. He's like, the most talented actor ever. XD

We see the world as "we" are, not as "it" is; because it is the "I" behind the "eye" that does the seeing.
