You can use that site to keep track of your collection or just post what you have here. Just curious as to what films people own...

I used to keep track of mine at DVD Tracker. Then they imposed a fee and I stopped. My collection has changed so much since then that it's useless to post my list from dvdtracker, which is still surprisingly accessible.

Wow. I just went to that DVD Tracker list and couldn't believe how many DVDs that I've sold off over the last few years... easily several dozen. Most of 'em were because I'd gotten 'em so cheap and wanted to get a good price on them before a special edition or Criterion edition came out, and some were completely lacking in special features. If you're not one of my favorite movies of all times, you'd better have some great special features, because these days you're a Netflix rental, not a purchase.

get rid of a dvd

I've never gotten rid of one -- unless I had an exact duplicate (one with special features, one without, both would still be in my library if that were to happen)

I live in a small apartment. What can I say? Helps keep my collectibles lean.

I did just win a boxed set for season one of "Lost" in a contest tonight. I was the closest to guessing how many times Hurley would say "Dude," how many times a gun would be fired, how many survivors would die, and how many times the baby would be called Turniphead. In fact, if you count the flare gun, I NAILED the contest, with exactly 9. Had a little help from my wife, who made me change my mind from 13 to 9 in the first place. Looking forward to adding this to my collection! (now I just need all the X-Files sets after Season 2...)

I have every movie that Matt Damon, Redd Foxx, or Louis Jordan were ever in. I started a Ben Stiller collection too, but lost interest in him and sold off most of it. I also have many of the classic dog movies. Those are the only ones I keep. Everything other DVD that I buy tends to get sold off a year or so later, or whenever I happen to need money again.
