OH MY GOD!!! I just found this thread, I am the soooo obbsessed with Harry Potter-since the first one came out! (our copy had a *NEW!* sticker on it.)

Yeah, I've thought about that... and written an editorial on it. Here's the link: http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/...lfrank01.shtml

60 DAYS!!!!!!!!! OMG, I start hypervenalating whenever someone mentions Harry Potter... I read the fifth book in 5 hours and 38 minutes (pausing only once to scream when ____ died) and then re-read it because I was so dazed. My mom had bought two copies, so I was reading one and my sister the other. My brother didn't get to read it for about a week, and it had to be from my sisters copy because I still was only leaving my room to go to swim team and to eat. (I brough the book to swim meets!!!)

I pre-ordered my copy of HBP three months ago. in my town (20,000 ppl) almost every single person is obbsessed with Harry Potter, so when OOTP came out we had this midnight party with chocolate frogs and stuff. This year there is "Potterfest", with a BIG screen tv to show the movies, a writing contest, etc. I CAN'T WAIT!!! (I took a test on mugglenet and it said I was 132% obbsessed with Harry Potter. Of course I have yet to figure out how that's possible)

60 MORE DAYS!!!!!

hahahaha when I first read it, I spent all day in bed, i think i came out once to eat, and once to run out of my room screaming at my mom "OH MY GOD!!! HOW COULD THEY KILL HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

lmao. that trailer was freakin' intense. I got all tingly inside, which is weird because i freaking HATED the last movie. they might as well have based it on a completely different book, it strayed that far from the book version. made me mad. i walked out of that theater (i saw it on the day it came out, and waited in line for hours to see the midnight showing) completely pissed, along with the rest of my friends.

only thing about that trailer is the beginning is the queerest thing I have ever seen. I literally almost fell off my chair laughing. what the hell was that?

when I first saw that the trailer was out my friend and I started screaming at the top of our lungs. Then (while I was on the verge of feinting) my friend goes, "shouldn't we watch the trailer and then scream?" So we did.

and then we screamed.

I, too, was dissapointed with the third movie, but I didn't HATE it. The fourth one looks MUCH better, though. (after my friend and I watched the trailer enough to memorize the lines we watched it frame-by-frame...)

I saw the 3rd one at midnight, too.

I've found all the movies disappointing so far, and I'm not sure how they're going to manage to get enough of the story in Goblet of Fire to do the book justice. Are they planning on doing Order of the Phoenix? Now there's a challenge.

Not that I hated the movies, I just don't think they match the books that well.

OH MAN. I just read this:

http://www.jkrowling.com/textonly/faq_view.cfm?id=95

We now have another person to consider as a possible candidate for the HBP. !!!

I don't think it is this person, but who knows right?

I'm wigging.

Heh. I vote "not". Especially since JKR says that his background is "not relevant to the plot". I think being the Half-Blood Prince would qualify as an important plot point.

Ooo. Only 48 days? I've been getting so excited with the new book coming out, then the 4th movie. I've started re-reading the books and am trying to pace myself so I'll be just finished with #5, when #6 comes out.

I'd also like to add that Michael is picking on me for this

I'll chime in as a Harry Potter fanatic -- I preordered my copy of #6 in, like, February. I also own the entire series on CD. Not a fan of the films.

I finished re-reading Order of the Phoenix last night. I liked it just as much the 2nd time, aside from a certain death scene. I do love the end part with Dumbledore and Harry though, and the duel with the Death-Eaters.

I reread them all recently too... except I'm dumb and I read them backwards (started with Order of the Phoenix )

I'll probably reread them again, they're good bedtime reading... other books I like aren't so much
