Ooh..this one is a classic too, but I'll hang off a bit.

The ones I pity are the ones who never stick out their neck for something they believe, never know the taste of moral struggle, and never have the thrill of victory. - Jonathan Kozol

Heh. This is a classic....

<<uses her best Jack Nicholson voice

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

How about:

"I love cornflakes."

This may have been in more that one film, but hopefully someone will have seen the one of which I'm thinking.

I know this is an old thread, but I really want to put a quote here.. But I have no clue what the above quote is.

Did you write the book of love, and do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so? Do you believe in rock Ân roll,
Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

I would say that after 3 1/2 years, if no one has gotten it, we can safely move on to a new quote.

Crap, now I don't remember what the quote I wanted to post was.

If the Bible tells you so? Do you believe in rock Ân roll,
Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

I thought it was clearly established in the OP that 5 years is the minimum period.

"and I stand

upon a mountain

made of weak and useless men"

Is LOTR too general of a guess?

Psst, I think you're supposed to know the previous one to be able to post a new one.

I don't know any of the last three quotes though.

I never really got this thread. I always thought I've seen more films than the average person, and yet everything in this thread always seemed esoteric to me.

"and I stand

Sevenseas is right, you're supposed to guess the other one. Hence the reason I didn't post a quote, since I'm not sure if I was right or not.

that's incredibly boring. there should be multiple quotes at once so people have a better chance of guessing one.

@annia
what word are they talking about?

It would be confusing, plus it's not the rules.

No it's not LotR.

The word they're talking about is the f-word.... (So be careful if you're going to cheat and google it as it's NSFW )

Play by the rules, and I won't.
