R.I.P. Aretha Franklin
A few days before she passed, I happened to be looking at Rolling Stone's list of the greatest singers of our time. Ms Franklin was number one; I wasn't at all surprised.
I was more into classical music and rock, but always loved her way with a song. Her voice was a gift... and did she ever know how to use it.
Peasant (1963-1972) and Fluffy (1970s?-1982- I think of you as 'Ambrose' now)- Your spirits outshone some humans I have known. Be happy forever.
