Discuss.

Sea Wolf started it all for me. Actually, it was Oren Lavie, because when I found him, I rediscovered Sea Wolf, and then it all started from there.
Fast forward to now, I have an assortment of lovely music, and I'm always scrounging for something new. (I thank Last.FM for helping a lot.)

Hi. My name is Renee and I am addicted to anything that Spencer Krug puts out - from Wolf Parade to Sunset Rubdown. I eat it all up.

I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting music, but often get caught up with what I already love.

Usually I listen to punk, but for a change of pace I'll listen to some Dressy Bessy or Tuscadero :P

Also, I've been on a big Freelance Whales and Beach House kick. I guess they're indie.

I love a lot of indie. Broken Social Scene and The New Pornographers are two of my favourite bands and are both ace live.

Are you sure this is art, not vandalism?

I used to like indie music a lot more when I was younger but I'm not as keen on it anymore.

I do listen to The Verve still (are they even considered indie?)

Clem Snide are great as well. They get put in both alt-country and indie boxes.

I'm a bit late to the party but Arcade Fire are huge over here. I'd been hearing very good things so watched their set at Reading Festival on TV last night. Albums now ordered.

Yes, check out Sunset Rubdown! They released an album last year, "Dragonslayer" and it is seriously amazing. Spencer is a musical genius. I saw Wolf Parade live a couple of years ago. I wasn't that crazy about them until then!

I just got my ticket to see Arcade Fire in the mail yesterday. So excited!

I'm also a big Rilo Kiley fan! Yay!

Have you heard Codeine Velvet Club? They're John Lawler of The Fratellis other band. They're great.

I guess some of my favorite indie bands would be...

múm
xiu xiu
the pains of being pure at heart
animal collective
no age

Just to name a few. It's such an all-encompassing genre though. It's hard to decide what fits into that category and what doesn't. Does 90s alternative type stuff and shoegaze fit into the indie genre?

You're gonna make me puke my pants.

Sleeper anyone? I guess they can be classed as Indie or Britpop.

I used to fancy Louise Wener so much. Used to, yes.

Sometimes for a change of pace, I tune into to "Bedtime Tunes" (I'm at work so the site is blocked, so no link, sorry). Lots a great indie stuff on there.

Our Generation has had no Great war, no Great Depression. Our war is spiritual. Our depression is our lives.
