Why not try turning the TV off and listening to some proper music instead of just replaying the same old rubbish that is spoon fed you by corporate music companies?
Ummm... I don't watch TV. In fact, I have like no channels at all and I only have those few cause my boyfriend whined his ass off when I went to disconnect it. Oh, and I don't have radio either. Why don't you
get over your stereotypes? And I happen to enjoy all the music I listen to. I didn't realise that there was "proper" and "improper" music but at any rate I'm not in a Victorian etiquette class.
But last month I saw Biffy Clyro, Dizzee Rascal, Martina and the Diamonds, You Me at Six and other rather contemporary artists and enjoyed them. Heck I've even seen Girls Aloud in concert and they were actually quite entertaining because they aren't trying to be anything other than a pop band.
Dude I don't know who any of those people are. But I suppose I must've had my stereotype right, because if you read my post properly I suggested that you'd like contemporary music. Not at all my thing.
These proper little consumers have no idea they are being manipulated to purchase a product just as effectively as breakfast cereal.
Nobody manipulates me Mr Falafel. I think for myself. I don't like everything I hear. I have freedom to choose which songs and artists I enjoy. All I am is confused why there are people out there who feel like they have nothing better to do than hate on people who never did anything to them. They're out there just doing their thing and you, who have never even likely met them, got to start talking s**t about them. Why? You really can't just say, "Well, I see they're very popular, but it's just not my thing?" No, you got to start insisting that everyone is brainwashed that likes them because you're such an elitist who thinks you know better what is good and what isn't and you think it's your place to go insulting other people who have worked hard to get their songs on the radio for no reason other than that you don't fancy them and you are a miserable person.
