Because IBS can be triggered by plant foods that are important vegan staples (examples: beans, cruciferous vegetables), the standard vegan nutrition guides may not be suitable for you.
You may find it useful to make an appointment with a Registered Dietitian who specializes in digestive conditions and in vegetarian nutrition. They may be able to help you plan a vegetarian/vegan diet that will improve, rather than exacerbate, your IBS.
