Exclamation Are Mr. Noodles vegan?

Hey I really enjoy my Ramen here and there, and I was wondering if either of these are vegan? I cant see anything that screams not vegan to me on the Veggie one, but the Oriental one has "Artificial Beef Flavor". I'm not sure if that is vegan or not, I am assuming not though. This is the only brand of Ramen I am able to get in the town I live in :/

Seems like the vegetable flavor is but I'm not sure what "artificial beef flavor" is.

Looks vegan, except for the "artificial beef flavor".

Nutritionally, the palm oil is very high in saturated fat. Check the ramen package's nutrition label for saturated fat content. The American Heart Association recommends that people minimize their intake of saturated fat: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Health...0_Article.jsp#

A bit of humor. At one of our local Asian markets, they sell ramen with artificial onion flavor:

cherries likes this.

_________

Specific recommendations for a healthy diet include: eating more fruit, vegetables, legumes, nuts and grains; cutting down on salt, sugar and fats. It is also advisable to choose unsaturated fats, instead of saturated fats and towards the elimination of trans-fatty acids."

I wonder if you could write to Mr. Noodle and ask?

I occasionally indulge in a packet of instant ramen, and the only one I know of thats vegan friendly is the Ichiban brand Miso flavour which is delicious

ETA: I usually cut up tofu into small cubes and add it to the flavouring sauce, it's delicious!! You can also add some veggies to the soup to make it a little more nutritious if you care about that sort of thing LOL ^__^

I think I'm just going to avoid any of the ones that say "artificial beef/chicken" and just eat the vegetable ones just to be on the safe side.. I can't find anywhere online to contact the makers of the Mr. Noodle's so I have been unable to confirm anything with the artificial beef flavor ingredients

We use a "beef" stock and a "chicken" stock with - Quote from can and from talking to them on the phone " no animal content". Maybe artificial beef flavour is the same sort of thing.

Wait, you were vegan your whole life? Can you write a post about it, being a vegan child, dealing with carnist children in social environments, etc. That would be a very interesting read!

Carnist: Someone who kills animals and then takes from their bodies.
Vegetarian: Someone who takes from animals' bodies, and then kills them when they are no longer profitable.
Vegan: Someone who tries to avoid unnecessary harm to animals as much as is possible and practicable.
