Poor Starbucks lol... I don't care what their stance is, I just avoid them by default because I don't drink coffee and because everything they have that I would consume otherwise is, like the coffee, about 3 times what I'd be willing to pay for it.

Though when I'm in China or something, and I just want a freaking sandwich or something resembling Western food, sometimes a random Starbucks here and there is a very nice thing.

I doubt that will get much traction, as guns are already very popular and their popularity only seems to be growing in the US.

When you're anything other than gutless, neutral, and 100% politically correct, making enemies is inevitable.

Why would you even bring a gun into a Starbucks? Seriously?

Well, even then you would probably make enemies of people who consider you spineless and weak.

This.

Nothing in the world makes my blood boil more than non confrontational, over friendly people who put tremendous effort into never offending anyone. I just wanna choke them.

^^^ This isn't the first time I've encountered such sentiments, and I still don't get it. Someone who ties themselves in knots trying not to make waves probably won't accomplish much if any positive social change for animals (or anyone else), but at least they're not fighting with you.

Because Starbucks is full of gun-carrying maniacs who are a threat to your survival, so you should have some means of self-defense.

I guess you mean the one that mandates business operators admit and serve armed customers.

Meh, on a net level, the customers who drive are probably a bigger danger to all of us.

Reminds me of the star trek episode where Q shows Picard what his life would be like if he was afraid of offending anyone or making bold decisions and he ends up as like a paper pusher in a teal uniform.

no, you know that's not what I meant. They're simply accepting the fact that local ordinances and tolerances vary from place to place. It would be like them opening a Starbucks on the beach and saying, "hey, you can buy a muffin in your bathing suit or whatever." Or opening a Starbucks in Houston and saying, "Fatties are totally allowed."

I'll admit that guns make me really nervous and I would never allow one in my home. But I accept the fact that in my state it's legal to carry a gun and I don't expect armed people to be banned from all businesses. Honestly, I think enforcing a policy like "no guns" may be more trouble than it's worth.

I wouldn't consider myself a gun nut (I don't own any right now if for no other reason than because it's an inconvenience when you move and travel a lot), but I've been around them and using them since before I hit the double digit age category. I probably wouldn't have given a second thought to a bunch of people with holstered guns walking into Starbucks, I would have just kept on eating my scone or whatever. We were all raised differently, and obviously that has a lot to do with what makes us apprehensive and what doesn't.

Starbucks should get a monopoly on the coffee industry, genetically modify all of its employees so they are all male deers, and change their name to Czarbucks.

I would prefer it if they changed all their staff to Russians and changed their name into Tsarbucks.
