I think it's good that this thread has died and people won't bump it anymore.

Yes! Love 'em!

While I can see the value in just ignoring the WCB I like the protesting the protesters idea because it actually shows support for the people being picked on rather than leaving them alone to put up with the abuse, plus defusing all their hate speech with a little humour is nice.

If I were at the funeral of a dead friend and there were a bunch of people with signs screaming at me that they're glad he's rotting in hell I'd feel better seeing that there were other good people there who were standing up for us.

They annoy the life out of me.

I am going to throw a little party when Fred Phelps finally kicks the bucket.

I'm thinking "gay fiesta" as a theme: margaritas, sombreros, and rainbows everywhere. You're all invited.

Can we do it before he dies? I'm sure he'll want to see it.

I'm figuring when he dies, hundreds of people will protest his funeral (just as they did) and then again whenever someone else in their family dies.

Trouble is it starts to get really hard to sort the good from the bad when everyone sinks to the same level of behavior.

These people actually think that they are doing good. And they aren't crazy, they are just following their interpretation of the good book.

The only thing that might be useful if people did picket their funerals is this: they might actually have a different viewpoint on it--and maybe stop (it's not like they could sue or anything--thanks to them).

Yes, they think they are doing good. I'm sure Hitler thought he was doing good too.
