That's such a sexy name. I've never met a female named 'Julian', but I think it would be a cool girl or boy name.

I'm not sure what the argument or point of contention or specific subject matter of this thread is. What about Julian Assange?

Love him and what he has done/is doing/will be doing in the future. Release everything.

Do we just discuss him? I think that as a person he's a bit slimy but groups like wikileaks are valuable and necessary.

don't take my life away, don't take my life away.

Is there something we're supposed to be looking at? I had read recently they're going to release a lot of information on Israel. I'm looking forward to that.

Slimy because he sexually assaulted two women and because he runs wikileaks like the autocrats he denounces. Valuable and necessary because I think more transparency is typically a good thing and sometimes it needs to be forced upon the government.

ALLEGEDLY sexually assaulted two women...nothing has yet been proven and some people strongly suspect the allegation is politically motivated.

Watched a 30 minute interview with him and the alleged sexual assaults weren't mentioned.

He came off as intelligent, educated, and well spoken. His main point was that a free press is necessary to keep governments in check and his pronouncement of his libertarianism backed up that idea. He accused the U.S. government of holding the "leaker", Bradley Manning, as a political prisoner. He's currently held in a maximum security Marine brig in Quantico, VA.

It's quite the spin by the Pentagon, State Department, etc. that he could release the video of the Reuter's News reporters being killed by U.S. forces and expose other truths about the American invasion of Iraq and he's the one painted as the bad guy.

I wish people paid as much attention to Bradley Manning's torture conditions as they do to Assange's condom use.

Keep on freepin' on
