yes yes yes!

err, i guess Avalon's not around much so if she doesn't want to organize this time i can do it unless someone else has their heart set on it.

just need one other person to help. what we did last year so the organizer doesn't know who has them was split the list in half, then each person mixes the names up randomly and pm's the people to tell them who they got. each organizer is on the other list so they don't know who has them.

easy peasy.

we should agree on a spending limit though. i think last year was $10. i think it's a good number cause though it's hard to find a good gift for 10 bucks it forces us to be creative plus you have to factor in cost of shipping afterward which for me was about $4 last year to send to ohio.

also need to agree on a deadline to send the gifts out so everyone gets them on time. anyone remember when it was last year? i think it was cutting it close for a few of us so we should go a couple days earlier.

thanks for the reminder KC

Yea, thought it was important to least get the topic out early. I remember last year a couple of people got theirs really late.

Thanks for volunteering LF, you're a terrific person.

if I'm correct then you can mail your Santa wishes (and adress) to one person on VB and that person will send you the wishes (and adress) of someone else.

This way you can send anonymous packages.

Not sure though.

Everyone who wants to participate sends a pm containing their address to whoever has agreed to arrange it. You are then given the name and address of one person and one person is given your name and address. No one knows who got who.

We have a Secret Santa login that anyone can use to ask questions about what their person wants for Christmas. There is a suggested spending limit of $10.

You then purchase a gift for your person and send it to them. On an agreed date we all open our packages and then find out who sent them. It's a lot of fun.

I´M SO IN!!! Who want something authentic from Spain? I have a bunch of great ideas, and I don´t give a hoot about how much shipping costs.

Sounds great!

I played a similar game called "elfs and giants" where you have to hide a gify every day, and it was always a lot of fun.

(well, we don't have xmas, so we have to use something to get presents )

Even better, 46 avs, is hearing about the reactions of the person getting something from you. I was Richbebe´s Secret Santa last year, and PoesÃ*a kept me up to date on how excited he was, how he acted just like a little boy pouncing on the Christmas tree... it was great!

Count me in! And I think LF would do a great job organizing it! ^_^

We see the world as "we" are, not as "it" is; because it is the "I" behind the "eye" that does the seeing.

I'm in. Sounds cool. I don't get much if anything around the holidays. Which isn't a big deal. But this would be a big deal because it would be special knowing it was from one of you big hearted folks.
