I saw the moon when it was a deep orange color earlier this night. But, I didn't pay attention after that. I think I caught the early stages.

I jumped in my car and drove down to the beach for a quick peak from a tall parking garage... and nothing. *sighs* It's so cloudy we have an eclipse of the eclipse. lol

You should be able to see a triangle....to us on the east coast US, on the lower left is Saturn and the lower right is the star, Regulus (which is part of the Leo formulation) and the moon makes the triangle.

You're in Bolivia right now, correct? Honestly, I have no idea what you can see. I gots no brain.

Ah! Yes, I noticed that triangle earlier but didn't know what names were to be affixed to those stars/planets.

Cool. I wasn't sure if [the triangle] would be visible from everywhere in the world. The next total lunar eclipse will be on Dec. 21st 2010.

It looks pretty cool up here. The moon looks more like Jupiter, with slashes of orange and red.

the moon just rose over the ocean a bit ago - still just a bit above the horizon, and a bit of shadow left on it...

We got a break in the clouds and saw a really cool orangy-red covered up moon with a sliver of light still left. Awesome!! Wish I had a telescope or a really big zoom camera.

I went out about an hour ago, when people started jabbering about it all over the web, and it wasn't up yet...

I think if I had caught it when it first rose, I would have gotten to see near totality. oh well...

Lots of clouds here. Still, it was fun being up at 3 in the morning, and meeting one of my neighbors.

I hope anyone that saw it sang "total eclipse of the moon" to the tune of "total eclipse of the heart" by bonnie tyler.

Haha I actually had that stuck in my head for some silly reason. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that
