I had a job lined up and it fell through at the last minute. What kinds of places hire quickly? I'm a 26yo male in southern California. I don't care if i have to scrape cow crap off of plows by hand--i just need work fast. I just need ideas. I've already applied for several overnight stocking positions and other warehouse jobs and have even gottem some interviews, but so far, nothing. I need to apply to more places and I have run out of ideas. Brainstorm with me.

In southern CA?...harvesting produce?.

Not knowing the area enough, I'm not much of a help so I guess I'll just wish you luck.

I second Thaila, try a restaurant. Get a job as a server if you can. You only make $2.13 an hour but you bring money home everyday. Plus, if you get on at the right place you can get free food.

Depends on what part of socal your in. If your in a larger city and have any computer/office skills then a temp agency should get you work pretty quickly.

Try a temp agency. Their job is to get people filled into positions as quickly as possible.

I'd hire you. I've always wanted a PA.

Socal? Work the fields as a day laborer! If you don't get picked, it's still 5 am and you have the whole day to look for regular employment.

I'd get you to iron my suit for whatever important meeting I had schedueled, then I'd make you poke around at my ingrowing toenail, all the whilst complaining about how stressful the high-life is.

Still, no-one feels for the PA!

Temp agency (can you type? file? answer phones politely? how are your computer skills?)

Restaurant (dishwasher, server, bus boy, etc.)

Grocery store (checkout, stocker, etc.)

Eh, I am on the other side of the globe and I have the same problem as you.

Keep us posted and good luck! Sorry that I don't have any advice for you, just words of encouragement.
