I persuaded my mum to reuse teabags and taught my little sister how to recycle, which I think is ok for one days work

Actually, by teaching my sister that I think I created a monster, she raided her bedroom for paper to recycle, then mine, then the living room, the dining room...

At work today there was tons of events going on for Earth Day. We had people paint our recycle bins so people would know they are for recycle products and not trash. They looked amazing and the winner of the contest gets money towards hosting an event at the zoo. We also had computer, ink, cell phone and other product recyling that most people throw away.

This was a very nice Earth Day. The weather was amazing (warmest day so far this year), so I took my mom's dogs down to the State Park for a bike ride and a swim in the lake. It's the dog's favorite place to go, and was my mom's favorite place to go as well. This was the first time I'd taken her dog's out there since her death this January. She would have been very proud of the dogs. They let strangers and kids pet them, and when we got to the lake I was able to let them partially off leash (I tied them together on a 10 foot leash, so they could swim free, but couldn't really get far if they tried to escape). It was very nice to sit on the shore and watch them play.
