I turned down Prince William's invitation for me to sing at his birthday bash because he was spearing animals in Africa and bringing publicity to it, and I thought that was pretty disgusting!

Do you have a link to an article/quote about this event?

The ones I pity are the ones who never stick out their neck for something they believe, never know the taste of moral struggle, and never have the thrill of victory. - Jonathan Kozol

Changed her mind? That's not the same event, is it?

Prince William was born June 21st

no, not the same event--but she still changed her mind.

won't preform for this prince because he hunts. will preform for that prince even though he hunts--oh, and it's a fundraiser and not a private party. which may be the difference.

Yeah, she's performing at a charity fundraiser hosted by Prince Charles ... not Prince William's birthday.

A friend of Pink said the singer will attend the event because it is for a charity raising money for a good cause and helps out those in need.

I am a fan of her music. I like the way she speaks her mind. I haven't purchased any of her songs or cd s yet, but there are tons of bands / artists that I like and still don't "own" anything by them.

Just Like a Pill

Don't Let Me Get Me

Stupid Girls

Dear Mr. President (I haven't heard this one, but read the lyrics)

I think the Dear Mister President song taps so clearly into the currently trendy Bush-bashing that it doesn't strike me as very committed or real. (Not that there's anything wrong with Bush-bashing - at least when one uses heavy and sharp objects to do it.)

"and I stand

upon a mountain

made of weak and useless men"

Yeah, it's easy to hate Bush (and the war) now. Still, better than not hatin' him though.

I think she has some really good music. ^_^

At least she's doing something for good! She's got cred for that.
