Well we moved over the last week and a half but we moved the furniture today. We moved from Portland's Pearl District neighborhood to the Goose Hollow neighborhood.

Descriptions of some Portland neighborhoods.

This area is much more residential but it is actually a bit closer to the building we work in (.8 miles vs 1 mile). We aren't across the street from Whole Foods Market anymore but it is still pretty close.

The worst part of moving is that it is about 90 degrees out. It was 100 last weekend when we did the first wave of moving. No more July moves!!!

The new place is cute, we'll post pictures later. It is bigger than the last place and has a patio and a large storage area.

90 degrees?? 100 degrees?? Waitaminute, I thought it was supposed to be all comfortable in July up there in the PNW! That's why I'm going to Seattle next week, to get AWAY from that 90-degree **** down here in Houston!

chiaraluna 07-03-2006 06:51 PM

Congratulations on the new place!

It is probably low-mid 80s now which is typical July. Dry too so very comforatable. We just fired up the baby webber and the kitties are exploring the patio. After 9 months in a hi-rise with no patio, seeing plants and birds is pretty exciting for them.

GhostUser 07-03-2006 08:27 PM

That's great, OregonAmy! Congrats!

megveggie 07-03-2006 08:40 PM

ONLY 100 degrees?!?! Please. Try over 110.

Congrats on the move.

Okay, back to the topic now.

Dirty Martini 07-03-2006 09:59 PM

and the (messy) kitchen... complete with empty Rogue-beer-storing-rack.

I love this place. It's cute, has character... and is about 60% of the cost of the other place, despite being closer to downtown and about 30% bigger.

hahha. uh.. overlook the bottle of vodka, full garbage, and tipped-over beer cups please

GhostUser 07-03-2006 10:07 PM

Funny, I was going to say that I spied a bottle of Vodka.

GhostUser 07-03-2006 10:09 PM

You win first prize for "most likely to spot a cat in a picture" .. you win.. uh... hmm... a bottle of vodka! But you must travel to Oregon to get it.

GhostUser 07-03-2006 10:16 PM
